What
is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)?
Jointed conducted by
all the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT’s) and Indian Institute of Science
(IIS), GATE is all India examinations for getting admissions in post graduate
courses in various reputed and well-known government and private universities
and colleges such as IITs and NITs.
The
subjects, in which the GATE examination is conducted, are Electronics and
Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology,
Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering,
Instrumentation Engineering and Civil Engineering. In addition to this, the
GATE examination is conducted for Mathematics, Biotechnology, and Chemical
Engineering, Physics and Chemistry.
What are the eligibility criteria for appearing in the GATE
examination?
The
candidate should be having a bachelor’s degree or final years in
technology/engineering/architecture.
The
candidates with Master’ degree or final year of master degree program such as
M.Tech, MCA or M.sc, are eligible in appearing in GATE examinations.
The
candidate with four or higher year of five-year integrated Master’s degree
programs in technology, are also eligible for appearing in the various GATE
examinations.
Results of GATE examinations:-
Normally
after 30-45 days of the examination, the results of GATE examinations are
announced. All the students who have cleared the qualification marks, are
avoided GATE mark sheets.
