Why is take Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and National Eligibility Test (NET)?

All India examination conducted jointly by Indian Institute of Science (IIS) and 7 IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) for admission in post-graduate education programs, is known as Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE.  The graduate aptitude test in engineering or GATE is conducted on the behalf of MHRD ministry of India, department of higher education, and national coordination board-GATE.

The national eligibility test is taken for individuals for the purpose of creating minimum standards for professionals interested in research and teaching professionals.
